After a little tweaking it made 622hp on alky last time.
We'll be using a gas carb to break it in and seat the rings then it's all Booze after that 
Mike, my dad is in the same boat. He has to work but I'm hoping he can leave a little early and watch some of the pulls. 
I'm sure there will be a few things we need to button up as well as breaking it in.
So did it make 535 or 622? How many motors are you talking about?

Sorry, didn't mean to confuse anyone 
It made 535hp on gas as it came out of the car.
We then put an 850 APD alky carb on it and made a few timing changes and got it up to the 622hp.
it was on the same motor just the 2 different fuels

you picked up nearly 100 HP just by switching to alcohol?! I may need to reconsider my reluctance to switch to E85!

We also increased the plug gap and retarded the timing 3 deg
Scott sent me some pics he took to update everyone as to where the motor is now

You have a valve inside the car to open up so it will
lean the engine out so you built heat... for alky

That port was on the intake when I bought it (swap meet  ) But yes, I was planning on using it for a leanout valve.
Unless that's not a good spot for it.
