My brother ran the next cam bigger:
Hydraulic. Hot Street cam, likes 2800 converter, Hi-Rise type dual plane intake with 850cfm carb, headers, 10:1 compression and 3.73 gears. Likes up to 200HP nitrous.

In a mild 440 and it ran really strong! He went to a roller cam and a 500 stroker so I bought it for my 383. These VooDoo cams seem to make good power.

what's the rest of the combo, could run good could run like poo poo.
edelbrook carb, 2400 stall 2.5 inch pipes. factory exhaust.
I'll say it's not ideal for you then. Not near enough carb, not sure about your intake but a nice dual plane would work. You should have headers, your stall is borderline, a 3000 would work best and 3.91's.

Converter is fine. All lunarti calls for with that cam is 2400. I have the next cam up and run a 2800 and it's a rocket. But you should get a dual plane intake. Factory HP manifolds will be fine.
I run the 513 intake 533 exhaust cam in my 470 stroker. It is a PERFECT fit for a street car. I run an 830 Quik Fuel on a Eddy RPM intake on Eddy RPM heads. 2800 converter, 3.91s, 10.4:1 compression. VERY HAPPY with it!!
Best time so far is 11.89 at 113ish mph.

I run the one smaller in a stock 915 head 383 4- speed, 3.23, stock carb intake and exh with 4-hole spacer, few little tricks, Runs super strong !!! tons of low to mid falls off over 5,400rpm but i think thats due to the stock AVS.
