I need to make a sleeve bushing for a worn lifter bore in my 340. What material and how much press fit? Thanks.

that's true. although many a car is being street driven with bronze bushings with no appreciable wear after many years.

Ampco 18 aluminum bronze would be a good choice if you're going to make it yourself , it's very slick material. We use it all the time on plastic injection molds for bushings and wearplates.

This may be the same material the use to make the distributor gear drives for roller cams.??

Try the Diamond site. They list lifter bushings on Page 5.
