No they didn't.
What he wants is to put a FWD engine in a RWD application.
What you are talking about is a "kit" to replace all the FWD junk with a V8 and RWD in a FWD car, opposite of what he wants.
They say there are no such thing as a stupid question. They say there is always the exception that proves the rule. Don't be the exception.

I read he is wanting to put a V8 in a FWD car. I know of two people that have done it in a Plymouth Sundance. Both used the mopar kit and it worked.
4BBL please specify what car and what engine you are refering to, please.

I want to use a FWD 4cyl (like a daytona turbo)in a home built small chassis with a RWD trans, manual. Few years ago I saw daytona turbo that the owner had used a dakota auto on and was getting 9sec or so ets in the 1/4.

Kugel Components makes Focus RWD conversion stuff. Saw it at SEMA in 2001. Have a look and do what they did. http://www.kugelkomponents.com/focus/focus.php Quote:

I converted a Plymouth TC-3 (Dodge Omni fastback) to RWD. It cost me around $2500. All you need is a TC-3, the front subframes, wheel wells, floor and tunnel from a Fox body Mustang; a rear from a Dart, a 360, and a transmission; along with a few parts (depending on your likes and dislikes) ladder bars; and a few tools most importantly, a welding machine. I have driven it 48,000 miles and with the OD trans, I get 26 mpg, can cruise at 150 mph, do the quarter in less than 14 seconds (tires were too hard and slipped all the way - sticky tires will take care of that) Mopar Action liked it a few years ago.

Okay, who dug up the two year old post? Still, I have some info for others who may be reading it... Quote:

When using a home built chassis, the info you gain here may be difficult to use.
