On a street engine with a hyd cam I'd run what you have.

.002-.003 is in spec. I'd say your fine. tighter tolerances mean you can run a lighter weight oil. I bet today's new engines run tighter then that!
you could have an error of .0001 - .0002 if there was a spec of dust or something when you measured.
