did you change the plate? i heard something about the floats can hit the jets if a certain float is in there. I have brass floats i believe and mine didnt hit.

if you didnt put the plate in yet, then its a stuck needle valve. probably got junk in it

It's got a cop motor, a 440 cubic inch plant, it's got cop tires, cop suspensions, cop shocks. It's a model made before catalytic converters so it'll run good on regular gas.

Check the o-ring on that needle and seat, my sixpack car sits for a long time and that o-ring dries out and fuel pours out of the vent tube.

I have had to pull mine out a couple times because of fuel coming out of the ventury tube.

I used to have a problem with fuel flooding in when I was using 50/50 mix AV gas.
I'd leave the car sit for a couple of months , and just by hitting the fuel pump switch I could tell it was flooding.
Did two things...STOPPED using AV gas in any dilution, and changed to different needles.
No more problems. I still think the AV gas had something to do with it.
I can't find the part #'s for the needles, but they were Holley High Flows.

If you find the part #'s, can you post them?

Sounds like stuck float to me.
Whack it on top of the bowl with a rubber mallet is easiest way to check.
Center carb has Brass float and outboards have some kinda plastic...Polypropylene or something....they are NOT interchangeable....they will rub on the inside of the bowl and hang up.
