I used them in a buch of SBs and on my 2 4 wheel drives.Fit good and I just used the cheap gaskets that came with them. They never did leak.Got 6 years out of the last set on my plow truck and that was good for it with all the sitting and salt.Rocky

On my 440 with P/S I had to beat on #3 and #5 pretty good at the steering gear--if you do not have P/S you should be OK. Also #7 down tube grazed the steering column coupler--had to dimple it. And the collecter flange on the passenger side was rubbing the torsion bar. Little work with the grinder. A fair amount of but they're in there--and the price was right!!!

I just bought a pair for my 67 Satellite. I'm going to sandblast them and coat them with the summit header coating. They look just like the Headmans I took off the car. I hope they fit as good as the headmans did.

You have to ask yourself, after you go through 2 sets of X brand headers and the work to put them in, how much are you really saving.
Actually, you'd have to go through about 7 sets to break even!
I agree, TTIs are very nice--if your budget allows.
For the price and problems I've heard some guys having with TTI's, I'll stick with my summit cheapies thanks. That's a lot of money I can spend elsewhere on my car. For a nearly $600 dollar savings, I will spend a day to install a set of cheapie headers. For that price my time is worth it. That money saved will buy me a LOT of other goodies for the car, but to each his own.

I had PS on the car didn't have to ding anything. Going to Manual this spring. It really helps if you pull the column...and as for TTi's... well 1. they are very very expensive and 2. they are not prone to a little beating either. many people have had issues w/ them. Best advise I can give you is TAKE YOUR TIME and don't over-tighten the bolts. I left all my ex-mani studs in!

Speaking of the starter, I had to have help because the header and the starter had to go up simutaniously.
I wouldn't want to attempt it again, but I managed to install my junkyard mini starter into my 440 with the summit headers already bolted in place. Was able to weasel the starter through the header tubes, but not easily.
