I got my standard small block TTI headers modified today to fit my B1Ba heads. I am gonna have to make a "special" socket to use on the plugs, and I had to remove the strut between the header tubes, but They fit on the heads on the stand. Pizzes me off that there isnt a header for them out there, but What do ya do.

Yep, I did, this is an old post, he just asked me how I got things to fit. I told him in a PM the entire PAIN IN THE BUT they were. Quick 77 R/T has them now, and I believe he is going to switch to an offset rocker shaft, and stand set up to clear the rocker issues, and he is dealing with the headers in his own way.

Ive no worries on headers, with the alterktion front end I can run almost any off the shelf header part or build a set. Ive some 2 inch hooker super comps that will work.

Other then a few valve train geometery issues, still a easy fix....Im pretty happy.

Just to add, mine were ordered with the exhaust blank, and drilled to accept headers without flanges. Yes, they also needed a couple of tubes altered to clear the block, but they fit fine. Heddman brand.

I used to have that set of B1´s, not anymore. Almost nobody likes them or use them. Engine was an 418ci. That was an x block...etc best et with that unported set was 10.50 at about 129.

Now on the 449 is a difrent story, right now the valiant is at the shop, custom headers and a few other things needs to be done. Gilberto

P.S. Those flanges came from tti, p.n. TTIFLG-340w2 for the b1`s. and also used the TTIFLG-340w5 for my set of w5´s, about $44.00 a set, at mancinis.

I used to think those b1ba heads were not a decent piece also...but after a local guy around here went 9.07 with them at 148, in granted a 2500 pound tube chassis cuda, i became a believer that they can produce fairly good power if the combo is right.

that cuda ran a 904 and no power adders, btw
