I take it this is drag race only motor, if that is so the clearances you have are more than adequate with any weight oil unless your heating the oil and running zero wieght oil.

I was told, from a fellow, far far away , not mentioning any names , that it used to be a small block crank, but sat so long it rusted into Bolivian. And that's why the hondazuki, or yamasaki rod size was needed.

People tend to go too tight thinking alum will expand. You need to go looser, keep in mind the alum will expand in ALL directions. I agree with .003-.004.
