Hi, am new to forum and was wondering why POR15 is so bad?
It's not, it's wonderful stuff, really, everyone should use it.

how about this stuff anyone try it? http://www.safestrustremover.com/
Yes, that stuff will work (it's basically the same product as Evaporust), but you still need to rinse it with water which invites new rust so it would have to be sealed and rinsed immediately with another product (like Ospho) then sealed with a good self etching primer sealer. You don't need to top it off with anything else, these parts lasted 40 years with a crappy factory primer/paint coat, they'll last allot longer with a quality sealer/paint coat, especially with the pampered care most classic cars recieve.

I've used por-15 with no issues. For sure, only use it on bare steel, not over top other paint.
Used it on bare steel.
Same problems as Scott Smith.
Lifts, rusts underneath, bubbles.....
....and that's after less than a year on suspension parts that weren't even bolted on the car yet!
C'mon guys, its crap and if you don't know it you haven't used it for very long.
