Can anyone suggest a source for a stock, stamped steel, 727 transmission pan for my 67 GTX? I give up trying to straighten the old one out so it doesn't leak and I don't want a custom pan on it.

Thanks

Do you have a local pick a part yard?

That would be the cheapset easiest place to find one I suspect.

There are a few on ebay. Stock depth but chrome with a drain plug put in. Some deeper ones as well.
all of them were around 30 with shipping.

Sorry but my current pan probably falls in that category now and I can't get one corner of it straightened up enough to stop if from leaking. Getting tired of buying large amounts of trans fluid and want to start with a new, straight pan.

It's ever so slightly different for the originals , but you can still buy a stock depth pan from any Mopar dealer

the other thing is, are you sure it is the pan?
I have spent alot of time resealing a pan only to find it was the shifter seal or the dipstick.

REally looked like the pan every time.

Or the Oring that seals the rear band pivot pin.

Clean throughly and let dry. Brake clean would be good. Dust W/ baby powder and you will see where it is leaking from.

I get all my transmission work done by "Pat Blais Transmissions" 206-365-1966 He is the trans. guru. I have been dealing with him for about 30 years and he is the best. He has new and originall parts. Check out his Ebay store

No, it's the pan. It started when I pulled it to fix the kickdown linkage inside that was not tightened down and came disengaged. I've tried to straighten the flange out twice now and it still leaks in the one corner that the bolts don't clamp well. Our local Chrysler dealer won't even talk to me about any thing thats more than 10 to 15 years old. They just tell me to go away. I'll check out the Ebay site and see if I can locate one there.

Thanks

Dan
