Dan, the big problem with a heads-up class like this is that there will be a few guys who will simply outspend and outrun the rest of the class, and everyone else will get tired of sucking hind teat and go home. The idea of heads-up racing always sounds exciting, but when you try to keep it even with limits someone will always find a way around it, and you end up with a whole bunch of fighting.

... the reason i suggested Indy was just to limit HP. it could be Eldelbrock performer or Victor...
In that case, let's make it... 1)3700# min weight w/ driver (no weight breaks) 2)max cid 500 (must use a STOCK BLOCK!!!) 3)must run Edelbrock Performer RPM, Victor or MP "452", Stage VI/VII heads 4)single 4150 carb on cast available intake(no sheet metal)(no E85 or Methanol) 5)stock frame rails(no front or back halves) 6)no wheelie bars 7)max tire as stamped on tire 275/60R15 DOT legal or 28" x 9" slick 8)max 4 foward gears. manual or auto. 9)stock appearing interior. no sheet metal. 10)stock appearing bodies. no ground effects or spoilers. 11)hood scoops ok. max height 5"
Gee, I'm even giving up 48 cubes here, but the rest of it looks good to me.
