I was doing a search and Year One shows a "solenoid extension wire" for a 71 B body 440-6 pack but no picture. Anyone know what that might look like?

Here's a pic of the insulated 90* and the correct solenoid wire bracket for 70...Probably be tough to fab up the wire ends but I can get a length measurement if you need it..

Thanks for the pic, that and a measurement will help. I've got some old factory dash harnesses laying around and maybe I can pull a few terminal ends off one of them. Does your harness wire go all the way back to the alternator or does it have the 'round bullet' terminal like mine does. Thanks again.

You can see the '71 extension in the top photo, bottom is a '70.

OK Thanks. That's not the set up I have. Mine looks like Snoopy's diagram above. I'll probably have to 'build' one that will look close.

The round bullet connection was originally for the vacuum advance retard unit... It took power from there & grounded when the throttle was closed through the insulated tab attached to the carb..

Mystery Solved. Well, it looks like the guy who did my car didn't go for the 6 pack harness with the solenoid connection so I'll make one.
