has anyone tried the motor mounts that bolts a 426(or crate) hemi to a reg big block e body k frame? i was under the impression that they were a bolt in deal but after reading a artical in new mopar mag thay cut the crap out of the sump area and on the mount tower i do not want to hack on the k frame in the car now

What different between the E body and b body K member/mount area. I used the Schumacher mounts with a 70 B body K member and E body oil pan with zero modes

that i am not 100 % sure but the artical was in latest mopar enthusiast they put a hemi into a yellow cuda if that is what was gonna have to do then il pass on the mounts and look for a hemi k frame i think it said that cut the tower because was gonna use headers(so will we)

I put a Hemi crate motor in a 73 Challenger with stock K frame. Car had a 318 in it. I bought a set of motor mounts from schumacher cause I didn't want to have to buy a Hemi E-body K frame. They worked for me without cutting anything. I think I paid $60 or $80 for them.

Might need a combination of schumacher mounts and TTI headers.

i have a 72 B body, same K member as E body, with a 572 hemi and tti headers. i used schumacher mounts without cutting anything. the schumacher mounts raise up the motor about 1/2" and move it to the passenger side about 1/4" over a stock hemi k member. in other posts people have reported greater success and less problems with the arzura, spelled wrong, mounts. do a search on this subject and you will find several threads. this question shows up every 3 months or so.

I used the Arruzza mounts on my 70 Challenger when I installed the Hemi on my BB K frame. Used TTI headers and everything fit perfect with no grinding cutting etc.

Which of these conversion mounts (schumacher or aruzza) work better w/ 2 1/8" primary hooker headers? Putting a hemi in a '69 road runner. Already have the Hooker headers, just wondering if one mount works better than the other?

As I understand it, most adapter mounts position the engine slightly off of it's original position. The Arruzza mounts come the closest. But it is important to note that the Arruzza mounts have a solid left mount. Haven't there been displays at some of the bigger shows with a Hemi with TTIs on Schumaker mounts? They seem to fit good and clear everything. The biggest concern would seem to be the engine's position regarding a fresh air hood. After reading the posts on here and talking to as many people as I could about this, I just bought a converted K at the Indy show last weekend. Hopefully, that will not cause me any alignment problems with my Shaker. I was considering the Arruzzas, but I just didn't want a solid left mount. And frankly when it's all said and done, there was only a few hundred dollars difference in price. And as with any Hemi swap, a few multi-hundred dollar cost overruns is just part of the fun.
Master, again and still

The conversion mounts we used on the hemi in the 74 challenger worked our nice you can actually shift the motor side to side some

I've used the Schumacher mounts on a couple of B bodies and they worked very well. Both had manual steering and TTI headers and everything clears. I did have an issue with the 68 style urethane trans mount from Schumacher though. It's made by Imperial services. It was about 3/8-1/2" too tall and lifted the rear of the engIne up causing some header interferance with the torsion bars. Once I discovered that, I simply modified the rear crossmember pocket a bit to lower it and everything was OK
