I have once again been an instigator!
A friend has mentioned a couple times since I brought the van home that he wanted an A-100 pickup. This got pretty loud when he saw my parts truck. "It's a shame that was cut up..." that sort of thing. Well, a guy posted an EBay auction on the vintage vans forum. I would have dropped the dime, but I just got the 73 van and I'm waiting on a check. So, I give him a call, and he says pull the trigger. So I hit the buy it now. We are going to pick it up next weekend.
I heard about this one today! Are you guys trying to supply me with a lifetime supply of work?

Got all the side holes, dash holes and all interior holes welded. Still have around 10 left on the back and roof. Thanks, Mopargnome! Need to grind too. We had to put our dog to sleep after old age caught up with her. She never got a ride in the van...

Sorry about the dog RodStRace... So - is this now a general "got my self an A100" thread? Not criticizing, just asking... Ran
"Hey mister, something's wrong with your car, it idles roughly" - number one comment I got in Israel when daily driving a 70 Barracuda with a lopey cam.
Currently working on - 1966 Dodge A100 van 318/auto Finally - disc brakes on the front. In the plans - rear disc brakes, B&M 250 blower

Randy, you are going to need a shorty BB 727 (70's 4X4 divorced transfer case). Start looking now! Have no idea on the A weight, my 89 B just dropped off a load at the dump and empty it weighed 4180 w/me (205)! Superfreak and Kick, thanks. It's still tough. Ran, the more the merrier, I can share! As an update, I'm in the body shop class, hope to start actually working on it tomorrow or next week.

Thanks for pointing me towards this thread. Lotsa cool ideas. Mines a 67 that I completely redid all the mechanics on for a guy a few years ago. He drove it 2 months and parked it in his barn. I got it back now and after some tweaking and fluid changes , it runs like a dream. Just gotta pull all the trim and touch up a few spots and away. I must say thats a wierd driving experience if ya havent driven one in forever. LOL

Still fixing the test panel for the class. I did get some work done Friday. Pulling some creases on the RF and under the side doors. Pulled the parts front axle apart some too. Going to clean and paint, since the kingpins are tight. Doubt I'll have the funds to do a disc conversion in the near future, so the backing plates and drums will get a cleanup too. Took the 47 down to class today, and of course it stood me up. Fuel issues, seems like the gas is old and has junk in it. Plenty of fuel in the glass filter on the inlet, just not enough flow thru the main jet. Looks pretty nasty too, like tea. The tank was cleaned and the carb too. Guess I'll drain the tank and fill with fresh stuff, then pull the carb top and get the junk out. Gotta love old cars!
