Can someone tell me what this Carter carb came on? Year model, engine, cfm size, etc?
It has Carter written on it like this... CARbureTER with the "bure" being a lot smaller and inset. Also says WCFB. It has a cast iron base, it's HEAVY!
Anyone know what it came off of? Thanks, CHIP

...looks like a WCFB (Will Carter Four Barrel) mid to late 50's some gm and Mopar apps. They were really heavy
I'm lost in the 60's and DAMN proud of it.

Looks like a WCFB (White cast four barrel) 4bbl from an old mopar around the 1950s, mabey another make used them also.
I am not causing global warming, I am just trying to hold off a impending Ice Age!

Actually WCFB does in fact mean William Carter Four Barrel as mentioned above.
Many of the 50's WCFB's lacked stamped in identification numbers, they usually had an attached metal tag to ID them. Does yours have a metal tag?
Here's a pair from a 57/58 Mopar. I restored them for a guy who put them on a 62 Vette, there were allot of them used on early GM's and Mopars that looked VERY much alike.
