Hey guys

I need some advise on what K-member I should buy for My 69 Coronet R/T. I have the stock K-member in the car now and im wondering if I should beef up the stock K-frame or should I upgrade to the C.A.P one or the Alter-K-tion????

The engine is 588cid Hemi.

Unfortunately the car wont see as much drag time as I would like to closest drag strip is Mission in Canada

What's your recommendations, anything is appreciated

Drag the car when I get a chance but mostly cruse it. Mission is roughly 1.5 hrs from me and Pacific is 2.5 so I can run her.

If you want to spend money you could replace it , or if you want to get more room for headers , feel like you want to upgrade to rack and pinion , otherwise I wouldn't bother .

Bob sells a nice tubular K frame made from 4130 chromemoly or he does a nice slice and dice job on the stock K like the SS/AH cars.

Both take alot of weight off the front and add lotsa clearance for headers.

Alterkation supports the upper shock mount so you can use it on the street without adding anything

If its mostly a street car, that might be your best bet ..

Race car ,,, Bobs stuff all looks great

If you have a cage, I would use a motor plate and cut the mounts off of the stock k-member. rebuild the steering box. The stock steering is good for a cruising car. I have never had problems with the stock suspension or steering. I am using a stock'ish k-member on my car

Cool guys THANKS a million

I think im gonna give Bill a call about the Alter-K-tion. I like the Idea of re-enforcing the shock towers.

That is what I did. Originally I was going to use the motor mount but went to a motorplate, Otherwise the k-frame would be modified differently.

AlterKtion was the single BEST thing I've ever added to my car! Can not go wrong with it.
