I would go with the 5" tall scoop, I had the 3" version it may have been an old Harwood hood. If you look at the picture you can see I had to raise the back of the hood so the carburator would have some space (about 1") and that was before I switched from the M1 to the Indy manifold with a 2" spacer

I have an Unlimited hood with a Direct Connection scoop I got back in the early 80s. Buying new I`d go with AAR I have their bolt on trunk lid and its a real nice piece.
