There are around 3 or 4 flexplates setup. Not only the size is the difference like also one of the crank bolts is on a diff position ( offset ) than the other ones
Dunno if the offset bolt at crank is for 6 cilinders, SB or BB but is afact it does exist.
Diameter for stock converters I think is 11 3/4" and 10 3/4". Some Hemis got the larger ones in fact

Not to hijack the thread, but what how much duration can you go with a stock 11 inch converter in say a 440 or 383?? The stock cam was 268 duration but if I go to buy a new duration cam at 268 degrees the manufactuer recommends a bigger stall. CAC

It's worth repeating that there is no set stall speed for any converter, the stall speed of any given converter depends on the power input and the resistance to movement.
I understand it depends on the torque output of the engine, but there is general range of a converter stall speed right?

I'll take it to an extreme to illustrate the point, take a common converter like the popular factory "764", behind a /6 it might stall at 1400, behind a built 440 it might stall at 2800, behind a blown fuel Hemi it will never stall.

Ok so lets say I have a bone stock 360 with a stock converter. If I go out and buy a converter with an advertised 3000 stall, it wont stall any higher than what my stock converter does?
