Finally after a couple of months of cutting and welding for the ladder bars and getting the AED dominator converted to E85 and getting the license plates updated i took the car out and is much more responsive and runs much cooler, at 96F and the /6 radiator and 180 thermostat the car cruises at 185 deg, it used approx. 7gallon on a 11 mile drive and motor has much more blubber due to the richer carb setting for e85, i didnt open it up all the way but you know by the feel of the pants that it got alot of grunt in it waiting to be unleashed, the sound of the motor with the new carb conversion is much stouter as should be expected, anyone thinking about doing the e85 should do it, the exh.fumes smell ok too after getting use to it,kinda like burnt popcorn oil.

There is no way that you used 7 gallons to go eleven miles. 1.57 miles to the gallon??? That has to be about 4000 horsepower...

Well my junk gets 7-8 mpg on E85 with 4.30 gears. Got about 10 on gas with 3.23s.

The LM-2 helped me lot with cruise afr with the E85.

FYI
Little off topic
My dragster on Alky (methanol) not Ethanol drunk the fuel. From pit to staging lane with the barrel valve near shut, on to the burn out box, through the 8th mile pass, back to pits would burn 2 gallons of fuel. The only time the barrel valve was fully opened was during the burn out, and 8th mile pass. From and too the that point it was at a idle and barrel valve was damn near shut.
You would need a tanker truck following you around to drive that thing on the street, if it were in a door slammer LOL.

So how does 6-8 gallons per mile strike ya?

I like the E85 too!
The smell is good, not offensive, I think of it as some kind of cooking smell.

On methanol, my car used 1.5 gallons per run (I was stingy), with E85 it is 1.0, and with gas it was 0.7

I have seen some methanol setups burn tons of fuel, one guys says he uses 3 gallons per run!
