It is not like there are a lot of choices when it comes to cranks. So what are you running?
What all are there:
stock eagle callies K1
I am currently running a 3.75 eagle in the road runner. I am gathering parts to build a bigger hemi and was wandering what people are running. I am thining of a 4.15 stroke, with a 600 lift solid roller cam I already have.

I've used a couple of Crowers. Don't forget about them. Even with a bunch of add ons I get it in 6 weeks from order to my shop. The quality is impeccable. MB

I went to the Ohio crankshaft website and their part numbers are identical to eagles There 4.150 crank is $595. I was on the eagle website earlier today and they have a factory second for $599 plus shipping. I saw a eagle vendor on ebay with a 4.150 crank, not a factory second, for $616 with free shipping.

I've heard that those early Eagle 'blems' that came .010/.010 were pretty good cranks. They got re-ground locally because they arrived at Eagle with taper on the journals.
I bought a 4.25" B-motor crank from the Sourcerers; (had taper which Brandon paid to have corrected, and was wide on the thrust, which had to be ground .010 wider). I don't recall the weight; I paid for the pendulum-cut counterweights and scalloped flange.
Apart from the finish machining on the journals, it didn't look like a bad piece.
I can't remember what the bobweight was on the balance ticket; think it was around 1750-1800 grams (all Source parts), so I'd expect that it would balance easy enough if you don't have heavy pistons.

I have a Callies Magnum now. I have used Ohio cranks(5)in the past with no issues at all. I also have a pair of Eagles here for street car projects, both purchased used.

I emailed Ohio crankshaft and asked who supplied them with cranks, since I noticed the part numbers being similar to the eagle ones.
My response was.
cut and paste from the email.
We buy from the same vendor that supplied Mopar, but we finish them ourselves. Probably not much difference in costs. Stan
that would be scat , I had one , and my hemi crate has one , nice LOOKING crank ...

Ya, I was planning to get one. Callie had just stopped making forged cranks when I went to order mine. then they made some just after I received my Bryant

about how much for a bryant 4.500 hemi crank? Callies? Crower?
I just noticed this must be out of a smart car, since you have it plugged in.

You can but you need to be able to balance it and hemi's have a heavy bobweight because of the piston size, use a longer rod and you can make the piston smaller to help . I had a scat/MP low deck stroker crank , it didn't fit in the block because of the counterweight diameter . After looking at it best I could figure is it was a HEMI RESTO crank , it was 5140 , wit hthe mains cut down only . I had to cut a 1/4 inch plus off the counterweight diameters to get it to fit which worked out well as it only needed 2 small holes to balance to my 2200 gram bobweight .

Wow, looks like you dodged a bullet and were lucky a rod didn't decide to exit stage left.
Yeah, tell me about it! It actually kept running and got me home another 6 or 8 miles down the road. Idled it, between 800 and 950 rpm. Long 6 or 8 miles let me tell you. Hindsight, should have shut it off and called my one friend in the area to come tow me home. Further hindsight, never should have a bought an eagle cast crank... Or cat rockers for what that's worth...

Can you run a lightened crank with the hemi? The crank currently in mine had to have weight added to it. I have the eagle crank with manley rods and J and E pistons.
