Ok guys I got quotes on header flanges.
3/8" $25/piece
1/2" $30/piece
These will have 1 7/8" primary holes.
Since I have to order a large quantity to get these prices I need to know if these prices will suit you guys. Schoenfeld sells them for 24.95 for 1/4" thick. I will also be only ordering one thickness.
Let me know what thickness you guys need. And I'll get the order in.
Not sure on the complete headers yet. The company that will be doing the tube bending is unsure if they want to do a small job like this. And I really don't want to cut all my own bends out of u and j bends. Very time consuming.
I'm leaning more toward the 1/2".
If I could get a rough estimate on numbers that would be great. I want honest numbers not guys saying I'll take a set then comes time to buy them and oh I don't want them.

For that price, anyone who owns a set of W8/9 heads should be buying a set of 1/2's....
I thought it was a good price. If I can get more people interested they could be even cheaper. The more pieces the cheaper they get.

i'll take a set please let me know where and how to pay you ok
You looking for W9 or W9RP?
I'm thinking money orders. Paypal costs too much and I'd have to charge you guys xtra to pay by paypal otherwise I'll lose money.
If anyone feels the need to pay by paypal you'll have to add 3% to the total with shipping.

I've seen alot of Zemco stuff at Rider's where we dyno at, Rider's builds Zemco's 410 Motors.... Their stuff looks very nice. Kaliher does most everyones custom drag stuff around this part of PA.
My W9RP turbo headers are being done by a local in State College.

I am not in this deal but after building some headers I would rather use 3/8 flanges. The reason it takes less heat in the flange to weld the thin tube to it. The main reason is some cars are quite difficult to fit and the thicker the flange the more chance you have to weld in closer clearances. Like I said not in on this and there are plusses to thick flanges in cars with plenty of room.

Not knocking you at all, but for $24.95 they are already stubbed and machined with the primarys for that cost. You're just talking about making the laser cut blanks with no primary tube stubs right?

Yeah my resources are that I'm an idiot. . .
I wouldn't go that far. I did the research on this stuff. I'm not trying to rip anyone off. I had a hard enough time learning about all the wedge 5,7,8,9 stuff myself. The least I can do is use what little knowledge I do have and help the guys that don't have the resources.
Just like you posted about header primary length. Thanks for that info I had no idea. But I think it would be impossible to squeeze all 4 2" tubes through that small area so that tube has to be longer.

Is there a difference in the std W9 and W9rp ex. flanges? I've got my eye on a set of non rp heads, and I think I would want 3/8".FWIW
Yes there is actually quite a difference they won't inner change.
W9
W9RP
If there is enough interest in 3/8" flanges I could do a run of them but more people want 1/2". So the run of 3/8" might cost a little more.

I got my W8 flanges from SPD, www.spdexhaust.com Available for most all SB Mopar heads in mild steel or stainless, 3/8" or 1/2" thick. Very nice pieces! Mike Gray
