I'm now in the way to build a set on a CNC machine, as soon as it will be in the computer system, I will be able to make in different materials. I will let you know.....

i can make custom sets, whatever thickness people want. just let me know. i have open mill time right now. phenolic is not cheap material, so be prepared for some sticker shock if you've never bought any. i have been toying with the idea of a phenolic/aluminum laminated spacer which would cheaper.

i was just wondering if anyone had made them from phenolic and if there was any issues. i picked up a piece of 3/4 canvas phenolic off ebay for 21 bucks that should do the trick. they had another piece listed and i was going to get it in case anyone else wanted it but when i went back to check it out it was gone. i think there's two basic types that could be used for this, canvas and linen. when i get some time i'll throw it in the mill and see if i can hack this piece into shape.

thanks

While there are some people on here that run B1's. Will the Indy intakes work on the B1 headed RB engines? I was thinking someone said the 400(LB)intakes would work with no adapter on the RB B1 engines. Was thinking about using the Indy 400 tunnel-ram on one if it would work.

i'm pretty sure the intake face on the heads is different between the b1 and indys. the b1 intake face is 90° to the deck surface, i don't think the indy's are.

I had phenoilc spacers on my B1 motor. The only issue I had was the manifold takes some time to get enough heat in it to put the engine against the 2-step.
MRMOPAR570,
The B1 and Indy heads have different angles on the mounting flanges so they will not interchange without adapters. IIRC Best Machine makes adapters for this.
