Good track = radials
Marginal Track = bias ply.
At lest that's my experience. The bias ply tires push the car forward even if they spin a little, while the radials really tend to loose the traction completely if they start to spin.

I have ran any where from 15-19lbs. tried long and short burn outs, lots of water no water. Can any one me with a suspension shop in north east Ohio

i just ran 16lbs but feel i need more heat in the tirei will try longer burnouts next time.

My car Had a B1 motor @da time when I swicht to radials, car picked up a little, ran better than with the 28 / 10" slick, go figure. No complaints here.

My duster hooks best at 15 lbs...

Mine likes 19.5 to 20 psi. CHIP

Mine are always set between 16 and 20, It will hook wherever, so I adjust rear tire pressure to adjust my reaction times.

My car loves 16 to 19 lbs, @ 139 mph feels stable.

Hmmm,interesting everyone seems to be running different air pressures,different body styles diferent motors big blocks small blocks..

ET Street radials here...295/65's...best hook is 15.0 cold.
3700# Challenger 496 4600 convertor and 625#'s of torque.
Anything above the 15 and it gets dicey as to whether it'll blow the tires off 20' out.

I run 15.5-17 (hot) in mine depending on track. 325/50-15's

I'm running the same psi as you guys so I'll work on the suspension. Never made this much power so never gave it to much thought.

I would run my 295-65/15 MT radials down to 12 pounds.....1.30 60's...mid 5.60's at 128mph. My suspension appeared to seperate quite a bit out back with never picking up the front tires....maybe not enough weight transfer for the reason for such low psi..

I say that I hook good at around 15 cold....just that I've never tried it lower than that because it seems OK at that pressure. So many others on here running up at 18 and 20#'s that it almost made no sense to go lower.....then sit back and complain about the crappy tires!
I'm wondering if there's a little more 60' left in it if I try going down a tad more?
It hooked hard at Pinks in Seattle, and seems good at our tracks here...but there's always that search for that "little bit more".
One thing for sure though....I'll never run a bias slick again...the radials run the track so straight compared to a slick at 11#'s.
Next year I guess.....
