car is 3500 lbs ,410 cub 904 ,5000 stall trans brake 3.9 lever,low gear set . and the rest is stock ,what do i need to make it last with 750-800 hp . 3.9 rear and 26/10

I hope you're planning on getting your wallet out alot, lol

If this is a race only deal, than I would be looking at:
a 300M or Hy Tuff input and output shaft.
An aluminium high/reverse drum with the big piston.
A Griner Transbrake
A roller rear support
Alto Red Eagle frictions and Kolene steels
Red lined solid bands

I am not sure if the factory steel plantaries will hold up at that weight, so a call to Pro Trans for straight cut gears maybe in order.

This would also be a high maintenance trans

If you are going to street drive it, build a 727

I am assuming Ian it was the trans I saw on the ground on the Heathcote website? Or did the diff go and take the trans out with it?

the 904 bean good to date ,not broke a thing in the box yet, 727 is to big for the tunnel in the ap6 ,it was the 9 inch exploding its carrier

Dave at Pro Trans built the 904 that was behind the 474 CI R3/W9 motor in my Demon. Only failure ever was a broken output shaft and that was after I put taller (3.91) gears in the rearend. Also, not his fault because they did not have a billet output shaft at the time (and still may not). I will have his trans behind the 501 when it goes in my car in a few months.

Pro Trans don't have a website. TCS and A&A trans do which should give you an idea of what you're up for.

Why not give Tony Brinkley a shot at it. Hes in Townsville and stocks all the griner gear and can access all the rest. Lucas with the indy engine in the black charger has a 904 behind it making similar power.
