I thought the width of the thust flange to flange was slightly different? Like .004 Not sure. But you should check the thrust clearance real close and see what you have. It may be too much or too little. Factory spec is .002 to .007 with max allowable being .010

I don't know about 360's but I suspect the differance is the same as early vs late big block bearings & this photo should explain the change... Thanks to Brandon @ 440 Source for the photo... Bearing width & diameter are the same, it's the thrust face diameter that is larger...

If the bearing fits and the crank spins then you don't have an issue , on a big block there is no way you would get the large thrust bearing in an early block as the picture above shows .

i like the 4948MA bearing better. either should work fine. it just depends on if you want 1/2 or 3/4 groove

I'm not worried about a 3/4 groove on this deal,it's not mine and it won't make enough power or rpm to be a threat to itself.Thanks
