Switching from a chrysler typr electronic ignition to a pro-comp setup and get zero spark at the coil. All wire connections are correct. Changed coil...no difference. Connected the 12 volt red to the battery...neg to battery...other pickup red to ignition key on...distributor wires proper...orange wire to the coil and black to coil..blue ignition wire to coil...hooked another distributor to system and all's it does is make electronic noises when turned...still no spark at coil wire...going to change the box tomorrow...Keyed voltage on pickup wire is around 10.6 volts....goes to coil...is this proper?? also connected wires that were connected to ballast...as it's no longer a player. do have over 12 volts to power the box from the battery..all wires have good continuity..Thanks in advnce to any/all help...Thanks moparts

I believe I have read elsewhere that The Procomp electronics are of poor quality. I read that they were made in China. Read here:

If you are still using the Chrysler distributor after installing the MSD and are not using vaccumn advance you need to weld the 2 plates together to eliminate high rpm miss. Chrysler dist are the worst. By you doing this they are as good as any other. I have done it on my cars and they run great.

The setup included the billet distributor...I had an extra wire on the coil and removed it...spark to distributor was so nice , a person could weld with it...car fired and is running nice..now on to the other 15 or 20 issues.....lol
