coronet1966d OP master Joined: Aug 2003 Posts: 2,682 Clinton Twp. Michigan	just located a beat but running driving low milage 1974 motorhome with a 440. they used forged internals on the truck/RV stuff in 74 didnt they? anything i should be aware of or look for while scoping out RV motors?

MOST motorhomes were WAY over-geared to start off with. Some Class A's having as much as a 4.88 ..some even with a 5.12.

Spend the money to do it right, and you can build a 500 HP street motor that will live a long and happy life, and probably with a very basic short block." Those words must have left a bad taste in his mouth!
