Hey guys i recently purchased some $150.00 hedmen hedders from jegs and noticed they had the ball type flange connection, the collectors are part of the header and are 3". I was looking at http://www.summitracing.com/parts/PYE-XVX13/ and was wondering if they would hook up to this type of connection? and if they obstruct anything on a 68 b-body? Thanks Guys

i'm not sure on the new collector...i have hedman street headers on my 71, but they are the older variety with standard 3" collectors.
i think they're called "ball and socket", so i'd assume you would need a "socket" adapter to put on your mid pipes/extensions

Didn't your Hedman hedders come with the flared socket halves? Both sets I've purchased came with them.
Hell no---I wish!!! I was kinda torqued cuz the picture from Summit showed the standard flat (gasket) flange AND I sent them directly to Jet-Hot for $300 of Sterling ceramic. Then I get em and they're ball and socket. I then bought the adpaters. (Maybe they DID come with, and Jet-Hot never forwarded them to me????????????????????_ Never thought about that!!!!) Hmmmmmmmmm
