Slide a feeler gauge along side the handle pushing down then it should pull out.I believe its a .015 gauge on the drivers side.Rocky

Slide a .010 feeler gauge down between the shifter handle and the clip on the left side. Then pull! Sometimes it takes some WD40 in there to get the feeler to slide in.

Push down hard on the handle as you insert the feeler gauge, makes the lock tang release easier.
