I have Indy EZ heads looking for a manifold to fit under a Challenger R/T hood. Will a MW manifold work with these heads?

Are the heads max wedge or standard port size?

If its a standard port then any intake will do as long as its for that particular motor and meets your height requirement - like a plain old dual-plane.

The way I see it buying those heads in the standard configuration is just a waste of money - you may as well have just bought 440 source heads. The whole point is flow - hence the raised and enlarged port.

Yah, my 50 year old dual-plane, sixpack manifold fits under my shaker hood. Using a .550 lift hydraulic roller cam, the standard port EZ heads only flow enough to make 680 horsepower at 5500 rpm.

I'd run the INDY 2D dual plane on it, 5.25" tall, it comes in non max Wedge entrance & then they have a CNC MW gasket match option as well. That is manifold I run on my bowl blended EZ-1's..... Tons of TQ.

The 2D is much larger internally than a Performer RPM which would be my second choice.

Don't be such a hater. The dyno wasn't broken, the numbers are strong, but no where near what is potentially still in there waiting to be found with further developement, testing and tuning.

These days, this kind of power is nothing unusual when the right combination of quality parts are put together by skilled hands.

Indy's regular port EZ heads are a great choice for those of us wanting to keep it under the hood, maintain high port velocities, and surprise some rube with numbers he thinks aren't possible with a 55-year-old intake design.

The results and dyno sheets can be seen at Hughes Engines...You can always argue with Dave or Kevin about their dyno....lol
