Has an idle system closest to a 4150HP style carb?
8896 or what?

My 8082-3 hp 1050 idles and runs great around town and doesn`t ever load up.

I had that carb on a car in the mid 90s. It worked great all around.
Decent street manners and low 9s off the footbrake on motor.

I have no experience w/ Dominators, but remember a tech guy from Crane who also used to work at Holley saying the 8082 HP 1050 was a good choice for a serious street / strip car running one.
