No noticible change in gas mileage. I normally average 11.2 to 12.5 mpg around town. No change for me!! The test car in the vid showed above/earlier showed a gain of 2.4% with acetone. A gain of 3% from my low of 11.2 mpg for me is = to 11.46 mpg. A change in driving habits, can gain alot more mpg change then that, and alot easier then adding acetone to your tank along with its added expense! But, I do want to look into the aspects of the home brew rust buster effects a little more! But I am also interested in its flammability traits as well compared to the other products. Acetone is very flammable IMO, And as a MPG booster Its absolutely not worth it for the trouble or its dangers. mike UNBIASED!! Last edited by Sport440; 07/24/09 12:54 AM.
