The valley! I am sure I saw you run. It was a pretty good turnout Friday night.

Get rid of the M/T and put a set of GoodYears or Hoosiers on it. My dragster would not go 60' with the M/T tires it shook so bad,it would bounce the tires like a T/F dragster. Mine is a hardtail dragster, and I am only trying to help save you some trouble with the tires. That is not meant to bash the M/T tires they just don't work on a dragster. Maybe we can help each other out as we get our dragsters going. There are no Mopar powered dragsters around here to share info. with.

I have one, but single dominator on E85. 572 B1 World aluminum block, 15 to 1, Jesel belt drive, rockers, 10" BTE convertor 5200 stall here, 1850 lbs. It runs 7.70@173 in 7200 feet, but I haven't had this deal at sea level yet. 1.10 60 ft, and I would be willing to trade info if it helps you dragster guys. I wonder how much the tunnel ram helps?

So he goes out and wins on his first outing, is super consistent, and you advise him to get rid of the tires that he just won on..
Yeah, that makes sense to me..
Chris..

Looks like way to tight of a convertor...Mine's the TCI pro -x 9 1/2" thats going to 6100 and it could stand to be a little looser but i just dont really want to shift above 7000.

I have a 8" ATI treemaster in mine. ATI set it up for my engine but they said I needed a 9". So mine may be to loose. After the M/T I over tired the car with some 1490's(if it can't spin em it can't shake em ). I now have the GoodYear 33.5(Pro-Stock) tire with 4:29 gears in the rear-end. I have only made 1 run a few weeks ago with them and it rained. But on that run my air shifter did not shift(out of air,not the first time but it was the last time)but I had a 1.04 60' my best with the 1490's 1.06. I have an elec. shift in dragster now and hope to get some better times this weekend. M/T tires and Co2 shifters just do not work for me. But maybe we can all help each other on tune ups other info.

How loose and do you folks race 1/4 mile at all? I would like to go a little looser, but I am unsure how much.

I have not run mine on a 1/4 mile either. ATI said I might could get by on a 1/8 mile track the converter is not locked up at the 1/8 mile. But may not work for a full 1/4 mile. I hope to change converters over the winter. Bu if it keeps breaking parts may not have the $$$$ to change this winter. Now would be a good time for me to ask which conveter(company and size) is best for the dragster? I have been told by a fellow racer who runs and wins a lot of S/C races. That ATI is one of the best converter's made, but he thinks they don't deal with enough dragsters to set them up like they need to be. He thinks Hughes may be the best for a dragster. Again not trying to bash anyones parts, this is my 2nd ATI and I brought it for another engine. So they are not to blame for me having the wrong size converter,it was right for the other engine. But it would be nice to know maybe not who makes the best converter, but who has the best one for the dragsters. If we can help each other get the right(best) parts the 1st time maybe we all could run better and save a little $$$$$$
