Sorry - I meant two different styles of nuts. I have seen the "pal" style nut and a nut with captive spin washer.

In addition to that, the studs for the N94 hood cars are longer, so there are two different lenths also.

steel hood takes ?
glass hood takes ?
I've been doing some ck'ing and can get them in a 3/4" stud length. brings up the question - what are the lengths of each style ?
I know it's a 10-24 thread pitch

I've seen that length info with pictures here on moparts before. I think I saved it somewhere, but can't find it at the moment.

Actually, these are the correct ones, at least for 70 and 71 steel hoods. Can't comment on T/A hoods.

I thought 71's attached to the hood from the bottom lip on the moulding ( 71 only ) instead of a clip inside the moulding as shown

They come both ways, with and without the lip. Yes, the ones with the lip would use screws attaching where the lip is, otherwise they use the ones I posted. The eight in the background are NOS, the one in the foreground is an original.

The TA molding retainers were like that, only a little longer.

Did the 71's with the lip for screws also use the clips in addition to the screws, or did it only use the screws?

Any idea which 71's got which molding? Is it an early vs. late thing, or just a different vendor, etc...

Tav: The parts book shows both as a possibility, as far as which car got which ones, no idea.
