hey guys, about to do my spring relocation and am going to be ordering wheels and tires soon...stock abody 8-3/4 housing, minitubbed reusing the stock tubs, springs will be inboarded to the frame...I figure i can get a 12.5 tire under there without any issues if i run a 15x10 with 7.5bs, but im wondering how tall of a tire I can go...Id like to be able to run a 29 inch or 30 inch if i could...the front of the wheelwell is not trimmed, but i will be moving the rearend back one inch...how tall can i go with just moving the rear back...by the way, car is a 71 scamp (same as dart)

thanks

1 inch back means 29 would be about absolute max...

On a dart you can get a 29-12.5-15 if you mini tubb, trim the outer lips or roll them and move the rearend back 1". Make sure you center the rear end the not much room to spare...

hey man, those are the exact same tires and size that i plan on running, the MT sportsman pros (also been thinking about the similar tire from m and h, but its only a 28 inch)..I do have my wheel lips rolled as well, so hopefully with careful measuring and setup i will be able to pull off the 29 inch...I also noticed that you are running the street lites, which is the same wheel i plan on grabbing for mine...what backspace is on those, and how do you like the construction of them?

I am thinking of going to a 31" tyre, my axle is 1" back, will they fit.
About your car, i had 29.5 slicks in the stock location but only 10.5 wide.

Why go to all of the work to move the springs and mini tubs to put a bigger tire on the car and not trim the front fenderwell I would not move the rear end back either, I did move my rear end forward one inch on my Duster

1 why trim the front fenderwell? unless you want 31" tires

2 why not move the rearend back? it centers the rearend in the well and looks better
