Call A and A trans. Tell them what you have, and they will recommend the best stuff for you. They are board sponsors. I bought my stuff there, aftetr I came within 1 roller of a sprague explosion. Great service and advice. Is that turbo action VB a LBA?

If you have a late model servo (5/8" pin) take it apart and install a couple of input/output thrust washers as spacers to make it solid.
Pic with spacer. The older style solid servo (smaller pin) is nicer because it has two springs, but this is a cheap improvement.

I talked with turbo action today and I'm planning on using there full manual valve body with lba. He said I should buy the better servo and use a 5.0 lever. How much better is the servo over the washer improved unit.

the solid billet servos are a much better piece but I prefer the 4.2 lever over the 5.0

check with member mr.randyj he has the servos you want , great price and good guy to deal with , get both the front and the rear , and don't use a 5.0 lever .

I am also re building my 727. Why should I not use a 5.0 kickdown lever?

Small Hijack Great thread, I am also rebuilding a 727 for My Hemi project. So let me add to this thread, what are the feelings of a factory 3 pinion planet, Vs a HD factory 4 pinion planet? I was told by HP trans builder specializing in 727 that he was building 727 with these planets and kept breaking them. He went back to 3 pinion and the problem went away. This was due to triangulation etc. And if upgrading go with the 5 pinion, or stay with the three... I would love to hear 440Jim's thoughts on this..

The part number I have listed (17680) does not have LBA. The 17675 does. Turbo action said the 17680 will go a tenth faster in the quarter but for street use not a good idea.
