I have both 440-3 and 440-2 Indy intakes, the -3 has the intake port dividers protruding into the clover leak under the carb., the 440-2 does not. My question is is there a 440-2 late model Indy intake that has the port dividers protruding under the carb like my 440-3? My 440-2 has the round casting for the fuel injection bungs and the 440-3 has the square casting, I think There both at the dyno shop now so I can't look at them. Last question on the 440-2, is there any performance differences between the early and late 440-2 intakes or is there such a thing?

We avoid the 440-3 unless we have a clearence issue and use it mainly on street engines. The 440-2 with a adapter for the 4500 works well and the 440-3X is our choise for max performance.

I took a picture of both intakes today, is my 440-2 the same as you have used in the past with the adapters?

I just pulled a 440-2 with an adapter like you have CB and am more then likely wasting my time installing a 440-3 to try this weekend.....

Oh well I have it and all I will be out is a set of gaskets and a spacer if it doesn't pick me up.....

I have read mixed results comparing the 440-3 (4500) vs the 440-2 (4150) with 4500 adapter. Some people have better results with the 440-3 when using a cloverleaf shaped carb spacer.

See my post on dyno results for the manifold and spacer tests I hope the 440-2 I have is a good one and not one of a kind, it made the most power with the 4500 adapter and the cloverleaf spacer compared to the 440-3 with the clover leaf spacer and the same carb

Mine ran basically the same with the 440-3 and the cloverleaf but picked up some mph.

Was .05 faster yesterday but the air was slightly better then last week.

I think I have fuel supply issues so have to look into that....
