i can now squeeze my fat gut under the car with ease. [i should have raised the roof in my shop when i replaced it way back in 1996, so i could have installed a lift]
they are 16 1/2" tall, and the ramps are 4 feet long and detachable.

A necessary pita….. so many tasks that are nicer to perform with jackstands NOT in the way. Assuming the square of the base is still rock solid with the additional height. Noted those holes in the bracket at the rear by the ramps….. is there an additional cradle that mounts there to secure the wheel?

Look nice, any concerns about no lip on drive up side?
I’m paranoid and worried my plastic ramps might let it roll back.
Mine seem dicey when up on them and I go to jack up rear, seems like a lot of movement.

very solid, as the base measures 12 wide by 14 long.
the extra holes at the rear are for bolt on wheel stops like are at the front, which are welded fast.
the first time drive up those was somewhat nerve wracking, as the angle of the ramps is steeper that what i had expected, even though they are four feet long.
the length was what worked out with what material i had in the pile.
i stopped at several intervals to get out and measure the ramps for any deflection. there was none.
even though i jumped around a lot, and tried to weld so the deflection was minimal when the weld cooled, i still had a built in "bow" in both ramps.
al in all, i'm pretty satisfied with how they turned out, and it sure beats having the floor pan only an inch from your face like most all available ramps position it.

forgot to add, they are made from 1/8 and 3/16" material, with a little 1/4" here and there.
i don't think they will fall apart any time soon.

How do you get it to go up that high of a ramp? I have trouble sometimes with my cars pushing a standard ramp when trying to go up them.

I'm not an engineer, nor did I stay at a Holiday Inn last night. However, my thoughts are there should be an "X" brace or similar on the open sides of the stand. I could be wrong. I just thought it was worth considering.

for my car with the converter stall it has, a steady power brake of 2000rpm was the ticket.
it took a couple of tries to figure out the best way, but that method worked like a charm, and the car smoothly drove up the incline with no drama whatsoever.
it sure was intimidating though !

as a fabricator with almost 46 years of my working career dedicated to design and fabrication, i thought that as well.
however, the top made from 1"x1 1/2", 1/8" wall tubing, plus the 3/16"x1 1/2" angle on the open side at the bottom made it seem unnecessary.
i tested that "theory" by turning them on their sides, and placing the front of my caravan on them to see if they racked out of square.
i may add an "x" or a diagonal in the future.

How much does one of those weigh?

that is a great question, as i never weighed them.
with that said, my feeble old a$$ can pick them up [each piece separately, of course ] without too much difficulty, although i can tell there is some heft there.
if i were to hazard a guess, 40-45lbs for each piece maybe ?
i know for sure they are way heavier than those cheap tin ramps that everybody has !

when i finally got it running again late last year, i played around with the tune a little, and it helped quite a bit. i'm going to play with it more this year in hopes of a slight improvement.
one thing i have done lately, is repair the [very] crusty inner fender under the battery box. even though the car only has almost 19k original miles, the batteries over the years have played the devil on the battery tray and inner fender.
i found a [way] smaller battery that has a bunch of cranking amps, so i made a new battery tray from stainless, and incorporated it into the inner fender repair.
i know the purists will be offended, but this car is really not anything special, and my ownership began with me buying it as a "total" back in 1970 when i worked at a body shop.
since it got back on the road after being repaired, it has never been "stock", so i don't mind modifying it whenever i feel like it. especially since under my stewardship, i have beat on it every chance i get.
i also ordered a new driveshaft from action machine. 3 1/2" .083 wall with solid 1350 joints. i'll find the next weak link, then reinforce it.
last year, i replaced the steel wheel/dog dish setup on the front with american 5 spoke wheels, and that really changed the cars look.
this year, new carpet [the old original stuff is just old and turning to dust], drive shaft and front loop [loop ready to install] and possibly new rear wheels.
the next caretaker will REALLY hate me if he wants to restore the car, but oh well !
