Can anyone tell me either where I can find miller tools C6311 and 6312?
Or some dimensions so I can make them?
These are for the 500/518 tranny's. And the RH /RE.

These are to measure the shim for the OD clutch pack.
I'm not paying the stupid prices for them that I'm seeing

I don't know, each to their own, but a couple hundred bucks for tools isn't the end of the world.

Agreed if it's something I'm gonna be using semi often. But these, I have 2 of these tranny's in progress now and it might be 3 months or 3 years before I need them again..
I went by the local dealership where I have buddies in parts and of which I've borrowed tools from before and my buddy Jeff couldn't find, had bare spots on the board where they're supposed to be.

The plate with the slot - used to check depth for the #1 thrust bearing shim is exactly .500” thick. You don’t need that tool. Just use a straight edge and do the math.

Ok thanks. How bout the dummy shaft used to measure off of that goes in place of the output shaft

I’ll have to see if I have one of those. Unless you change some hard parts you can reuse the shim at the back of the intermediate shaft.
In other words, a re-clutch won’t requite a new shim.

Make sure when you do the trans build the OD assy, install it then build the remainder of the trans and check input shaft end play last.

I have a dummy output shaft I don’t need anymore I would like to sell. I am not home for a few more days but can send you a pic.

The OD is built and ready to reinstall. The only "hard parts" in the OD that got replaced are the sprag and the heavy OD spring got replaced with a Sonnax one.
I did replace all the thrust bearings in there as well.
I did have to replace the OD apply piston on back of main case and the housing for it.
In the main case it had to have a different forward clutch housing(drum) and front pump due to scoring and heat marks. Both used.
I did find a 4 disc forward clutch, I think the original was only 3. (I'm not where the trans is)
Rest of trans looked fine, but the forward clutch was SMOKED. and the sprag in the back of the low/reverse drum fell apart when I dismantled the trans so I replaced that as well.
Now that I know the measurements I can probably make the plate with the groove.

What diameter do you have on the dummy shaft? With that, I should be able to make a set
I just stopped by dealership #2 where I know the "old guy that's been there forever" and was pretty much told "not to worry about it"
This guy said he's done more of those tranny's than he can remember but hasn't done one in 10 years, but don't remember ever measuring those 2 things and "they always seemed to work".
I have a couple of these tranny's to redo, another RE and an older a500. Id like to at least see where they stand for comparison to both "the book" and to each other.

Measure your intermediate shaft at the two journals (should both be same diameter). The long shaft just aligns the splines inside the OD unit. If you had an old output shaft you could just cut the excess off at the top and use that.

Yeah I do have an old intermediate shaft, I use it as a lineup tool, and did cut it down but I wasn't sure if this other dummy shaft seated at the same place the intermediate shaft does.

The short shaft is to measure for the shim that fits on the end of the intermediate shaft. The dummy shaft pilots against the bottom of the ORC cam.
The long alignment shaft just lines up the splines between the planetary and ORC cam and helps line up the sun gear.
