Dave, Hemi and wedge do not use the same mount. At least with factory blocks. I don't know if BME did something different or not?

Do you know if BB and Hemi have the same block width? I dont see anything over on the Schumacher site. Same block, except Hemis have different motor mounts on them. Wedges have the ears, while Hemis have a little spot where 3 bolts thread in facing the skirt of the block on each side. The callies block I have has both the Wedge ears and the hemi pad on it, I think the BME blocks are the same way.

I put an aftermarket blocked Hemi in a 68 Dart. The outside dimensions of the new blocks will have differences from the originals. In the end, the ONLY way that I got it to fit was to buy an engine mount kit for the 'K', set the engine in and then tack the mounts together with everything in place. Then I removed the 'K', fully welded the mounts up and had it powder coated. Otherwise, a fraction of an inch or degree of measurement off anywhere meant it would not work. There is NO room for error.
Just my experience.

I now know the master cylinder conversion block is not enough when using the Stage V covers. MC also has to be moved up about an inch or so. My buddy bought the new MC mount that moves it over further. I'll see if I can find that info again. It makes it a lot better.

Yes, but it's pretty easy. I believe my buddy said you turn the bolt around and the rod goes on the other side of the brake pedal.

As it was explained to me, the Original style shock tower mod was to just smash it in with a hammer. Modern builds usually have that area cut out and a fabricated piece welded in. Below is a link with a still-working picture of an original "clearanced" shock tower. Link

Mine is in an E Body and not an A Body, but Indy does make a shock tower clearance passenger side rocker cover. This may or may not help in an A Body. I have never done it myself. I am able to remove the cover without any mods to the shock tower and in the factory mounting position even though front and mid plates are added. Hard to tell, but If you look closely there is a relief in the outside of the cover that does not interfere with any valve train internally.
