Is anybody using T & D rocker aluminum arms on 440 source stealth heads? If so, how do they fit and is there a custom offset? Thanks in advance.

Never seen it done but it should work. I assume you would want to order the T&D rockers for a stock head but I'd confirm with T&D before spending the money. If they have never done it before they'll probably ask for you to send them a head so they can confirm fitment.

It isn't a bolt on operation. The rocker stands probably have to be machined off so the T&D stand can be installed. If 440Source uses helicoils in the heads it could be an issue. When you use T&D or Jesel rockers on an Indy head you usually want to buy the head cut from the factory for that use rather than try to convert an existing head. I converted my Indy EZ heads over to Jesel rocker arms on a Bridgeport mill. Most people don't have access to that kind of equipment and it would cost a lot to have a machine shop do the job for you.

Have you looked in the T&D catalog and reviewed the notes? You might find out that a special valve cover will be required, machining is required, etc. I don't think the 440Source head is even listed in the T&D catalog which means you would need to send the heads to T&D and have them do the machine work and the test fitting.

T&D Machine catalog shows part # 8240 fitting Edelbrock RPM heads, being the closest to stock might be the best bet. The notes say for use with OEM stands and “Bolt-on assembly, no machine work required” and “May require minor clearancing” and may require taller/fabricated valve cover. Definitely would call them up before dropping that kind of coin twocents

IF I was going to piss money away on expensive rockers for cheap heads this is the one I'd use with 440Source heads ...

BIG BLOCK CHRYSLER 383-440 O.E.M IRON 452, 906, 915, WEDGE, STAGE V
This 8200 set is specifically designed for the Big Block Mopar O.E.M. Iron head. This rocker set uses a single shaft just like stock o.e.m.

T&D always recommends measuring for the amount of offset required for your combination

SKU: 8200Categories: Big Block Mopar, Mopar, Mopar Casting's O.E.M., Mopar, Chrysler, Dodge O.E.M., Rocker Set's

That’s probably a better fit, I went straight to the aftermarket section for some reason

I ran several different rocker arms on my Trick Flow 240 heads. They were all "bolt on" rockers which means they all required typical "hot rodding" adjustments and clearancing. I used Harlands, T&D and Mancini rockers. T&D was my favorite, I ended up selling the others. The T&D rocker arms are just a better design and the machine work is a step above the others. I had to have the rockers custom made by T&D though since they didn't have a Trick Flow model in their catalog. I sent them a head and they built a variation for the Trick Flow heads. I think the length of the arm had to be slightly different.

I have some videos of various rocker arms in action on my youtube channel. Here is one showing T&D rockers on a Trick Flow head: https://youtu.be/p4SO73Xu13c

I have T&D rockers for my INDY SR heads, which do not have a offset like 440-1 heads. They fit no problem, and should fit Stealth heads as well.

??? I don't know what you're laughing at, there hasn't been a single word of negativity here. The only thing we're pointing out is the use of a very expensive rocker on a very basic, inexpensive head. Don't jump to ridiculous conclusions !

Given a 440 Source head is a Performer RPM clone wrapped in an OEM-style "skin", I'd expect a good starting point would be rockers that fit the original Edelbrock head. Can't say if there won't be something different in the rocker fitment, but the Edelbrocks were intended to use OEM-compatible rockers to make them a bolt-on replacement as much as possible.

I I don't believe that the 440 source heads are anywhere near as good a good flowing casting as the Edelbrock RPM casting are, two different levels of performance from them on the same short blocks is what I remember.
I've used both on more than one build, if you want a stock looking aluminum head buy the 80 CC 440 Source heads, if you want a better performing aluminum head with a stock 440 size intake port buy the Edelbrock RPM castings up twocents
I do have a set of the Edelbrock 75 CC Street heads that I haven't used yet as well as a set of the new Chineze made CNC ported Victor clone Speedmaster brand heads, they look good and I'm hoping they will make 600+ HP on a 505 to 511 pump gas low deck stroker motor with around 10.5 to 10.7 to 1 compression ratio luck these heads have the stock 440 size intake ports instead of the larger Max wedge size whiney shruggy
