hey, iwant to fit a 15x10 rim on a 69 raodrunner i would like to know the backspace, stock suspension,drum brakes, i would like to fit 275 60 tires on it. thanks

i went with 5"bs but i think that is hard to get.the centerline convo pro is the only 1 i could find at the time.[10yrs ago]did you measure with a streight edge up from the mounting serface of the drum and then over to the inner/outer fender?

The later B bodys like yours like the zero offset rims, usually. That is assuming you have not moved the leaf springs in, if you have or are going to move the springs in move them first and then use a negative offset rim like a 5.5 or 6.0 offset off of the back side on a ten inch wide rim

I'm running 10" wheels with 5 1/2" backspacing, 275 60 tyres. The tyres are close to the wheel lip but there's plenty of room on the inside. I don't think a 5" backspace would be enough. It's a 70 Road Runner but should be the same as a 69.

I'm running 5.5" backspacing on a 10" and it seems centered in the wells of my 68 Roadrunner.

I run 275-60-15's on 8" Cragar wheels on my '69 bird. They are centered perfectly. I had the wheels ordered custom with a 4 1/2" back spacing. All my photos are too large to post here. PM me and I'll send you some pics. There is more than 1/2" clearance on the inside and outside. They never rub, even when running 14 PSI at the track. If you are running a soft tire with a spool, you'll need more room than if you have a posi. The way the spool is always locked will give you rubbing issues. Good luck.

what are you running in the front,i will be mostly a street car my friend suggested to run a 28 inch tire in the back and a 27 inch in the front regardless if its a 60 series in the back or 70 series in the front, hes talking overall dimensions ,makes sense?

For me...I run a reproduction Firestone tire from Cokertire.com. It is a champion deluxe, bias ply. It is 28.5" tall (roughly). I've had shorter tires on mine, but with the large b-body...they looked stupid. I have a pair of Pro Tracs on Super Tricks for quick reaction times (shorter tires make the car react quicker), but I haven't had the heart to install them because they don't look right. My car is pretty much vintage as I run SS Cragar's on it with M and H bias ply, cheater slicks in the back. People tell me to put radials on it to make it handle better. I say..."Why go to all the trouble building a vintage car, then put new tires on it?" The period the car is built to is determined by the newest part visible to onlookers. Just my piece. Good luck. I bought 15x10's with 4.5" back spacing with 275/60/15 ET Street Radials and I had to trim the wheel well lip off and roll it over so they didn't rub.

I run a P295/65R-15 on a 8" wide Weld Pro-Star,with a 4.5" backspace and it fits tightly...but fills up the wheel well much nicer than a P275! I tried the 275's a few years back and HATED how small they looked! B-Body's need BIG rubber out back to look right! Just my

You need 4-1/2" bs on an 8" wheel and 6-1/2" bs on a 10" wheel on a '69 Road Runner. This will position the wheel such that there is no sheet metal modification required and an 11-1/2" or 12" tire will fit. You need to stick with a tire around 28" tall or they get real close to the lip at the front. A P295 60D 15 fits real nice.
