Has anyone come up with a good solution to the now no longer available direct replacement positive battery cable for pretty much any 70's through early 90's Mopar?

The one heavy gauge main power feed quick connect end no longer comes on the direct replacement cable. I was told the mfg of the quick connect has discontinued its production. The solution from the cable supply company is to use a giant crimp butt splice.
That is not a good option.

I have considered using single pole quick connects like used on jumper cables, and winch leads. But if someone has a solution that will retain the OEM connector I would love to know how.

Why disconnect and connect the (expensive) positive cable when disconnecting the negative cable at the battery is just as effective? If you are using the car a lot as a driver then you can just get an inexpensive negative battery cable from an auto parts. Then set it up with something like this or even just use a 1/2" box end wrench left in the glove box or console of the car and disconnect it when stored. I'd leave the positive cable alone and work it out with the less expensive negative cable.

Is the disconnect the white thing on the battery positive cable in the pictures?

How about a welding supply store for connections or a high current screw crimp splice for high voltage?

Yes the white quick connect on your pictures is what I am talking about.

I have found a suitable replacement, but it requires modification to the original wiring. I am trying to find out if whatever this style of OEM connector is, if it is available to use on the replacement cables which no longer have it.

Besides being a pain, and a bit costly if you do not have the ability to solder your own connectors in place on the vehicle, whats going to happen when someone with those fancy show cars pulls in to the show and is docked points for unoriginal connectors on the battery wiring (this will never be a problem for me, but some of those guys go nuts with correct overspray patterns on suspension parts, a non-OEM style battery connector might set them over the edge). If the connector is available in a kit form somewhere it would be much easier to install just one, vs cutting the original off the car and adding something different.

I'm planing to use single pole Anderson connectors, but would much rather use an OEM connector if they are available.

I could not find anything battery or power cable related on their website.

Neat site, lots of neat stuff, but no battery cables, or quick connect hardware that I could find.
