Would one of you fine people with a bare 8 3/4 or Dana 60 housing and the means to measure the axle bearing bore diameter, measure it and provide the info to me?

what is the axle offset on a dana and 8 3/4 rear ? i forget.  Might depend on the application. Bigger cars and trucks used wider brakes and sometimes the engineers used more offset rather than a deeper draw on the backing plate.

what is the axle offset on a dana and 8 3/4 rear ? i forget. By "offset" do you mean "standout", the distance from the housing end to the outside of the axle flange? The 5 x 4 1/2" axle flange standout (measured from housing end, NOT brake backing plate) 2.525"
