With the great breadth of information you have given us.....any were between $1 and $25,000. Maybe more if it is a desirable color.

Well what color would you like? I'm sure the seller will accommodate at 25,000 whistling

To be a bit more helpful, It's the first year for the 833 and was only used through 65 with the flanged output shaft in the B and C bodies. In 66 they changed to the Slip yoke which most convert to. So the value is there IF one can find the individual doing a concours resto on a 64-5 B or C and the other things like casting dates stampings codes etc. are what's needed. Might Check over at the B and C bodies only forums to see if anyone's looking or has sold one to establish a market price. It's one of those that is likely not worth a lot unless you find the aforementioned individual. Low demand but hard to ffind when one needs it wink
That may be different IF the internals are the same as the 66 and later units.
Maybe someone else will chime in with a bit more knowledge on the value. Might also contact Brewer's to see if he has any interest. beer

Might also want to verify it is a B/C trans as they did make a shorter A body version wink

see the problem with the abundance of information one reply for a 4-speed car & another for just a transmission

Alright enough of being a MopartSmarta$$

A good 1964 good condition B body 4 speed is worth $600 to $800 dollars.

If someone was looking for a date code 4 sp maybe more.

Now that you pointed it out YES, and my apologies to Vertman. I assumed due to the lack of info it was just the trans. Still not sure but due to his latest response to vertman I guessing just the trans shruggy beer

Don't wish to start a debate or offend anyone but in my own experience here in the midwest I've hauled that style of 4 speed around for a number of years to swap meets of all sizes and types. Typically the most I can get out of one in very nice internal shape is $200.

I agree a BT 64/65 trans is basically on worth what a gear set is worth as a core unit. I have sold a few over the years and unless you find that guy wanting to restore and use a Ball and trunnion 4 speed the value is way down. Most I have sold will be in the 200-250 range with some maybe bringing 300 max in my opinion and past experience from units having nice gear set in them. Regular 66-up 23 splines become more valuable as the years go up with 70-71 units being more desirable and might be in the range given of 600-800, but again I have never personally sold any 23 spline for that amount, and I have probably sold 30 or more over the years.

Another thing that could affect the price is the gear ratios...there were two in '64, one has a 3.09 first gear and the other is 2.66. The wide gear spread of the 3.09 is usually less desirable.

You’re right John I forgot about the 1st year ratio as I can’t recall the last one I had with a 3.09 in it. No one who’s looked at mine when I’ve had them out for sale has even asked or checked.

Wasn't the 3.09 used in the A body versions? beer

not trying to beat a dead horse but I've never seen a earl b body with anything other than a 6, 318 poly, 361,383 or 413. Don't know if they made a 6 with a 4spd but that might make sense, be a pretty rare one i would think shruggy beer

It was always my understanding the early A body trans used the 3.09 gear set. I switched one into the 68 trans that I installed into a 65 coronet wagon I was running a 3.23 gear in to help in the take off department.
