While doing some small maintenance on the car and oil change I figured I’d snap a few pics of mine since a few people have asked. A buddy of mine built it out of aluminum. It fits perfect and snug underneath with a small gap below the oil pan. It has two holes drilled through the AlterKtion in front and two rear tab-brackets attached to the midplate. When mounted it’s about 1” above the frame-saver skis. Nice clean setup easy to install/remove.

Looks good. I need to make one this winter for my car. Tired of putting my engine diaper on for the strip and taking it back off for the street. Retains too much heat on those extremely hot summer days. Besides melting excess strape material on the headers gets old.

Retains too much heat on those extremely hot summer days. Besides melting excess strape material on the headers gets old. Thanks. I was going to run a custom blanket but chose not to in the end. I’m happy with this setup. Hope I never need it to do its job LOL

A little off topic, but, what have you got planned for that PG sitting behind the hoist leg???? That is a spare Glide I’ve had. It’s now going to find its way into my kids car being built by Comp Chassis.

Mike at Comp Chassis always does an excellent job. Still a ways to go. Motor should be done soon.
