Looking to see how hard and how to remove the dash in a 1988 dodge pickup. There’s a red one at Pic-a-part that’s in great shape.

Easy. there's 4 or 5 screws in the top of the dash, one just above the radio. The rest is clips, if a tilt wheel, lower it, pull carefully and it'll come right out. If you have a helper you might have them pry the top of the bezel down from the dash so it'll release easier.

There are a series of screws under the windshield seal...the rest is cake.

Does the windshield have to come out to get to the screws?

No but you really have to cut small sections out of the gasket to expose the screws, you can feel them under the rubber when you push on the gasket. It might be possible to do by prying the gasket up but I doubt it because of the angle of the screws.

If I mess up the one in scrap yard we might need to talk.
