I have the 8 1/4 axle from a 74 Dart Custom. The axle has 11" brakes on it. Have anyone heard of this before and what car could I look up so I could get the right size.
Thanks

your parts hose is telling you there is no listing for linings/wh cyls/hardware kits for 11" brakes on a 74 A body?. I would get some smaller dia wheel cyls from Rick Ehrenberg and I believe a listing for any(70's) 11" application for the linings/hardware kits will work(try a 70's B body. there was a change on the shape of the hole in the shoe webb where the vertical e brake lever pivot fits into in about 76 or 77 but I think they all interchange. Just take one of your levers in with you & hook it into one of the shoes they pull out for you.

Thanks for the plug, and Amen to that. 11" drums on the rear of an A-body!..as if the stock proportioning wasn't bad enough!

Rick

you need to measure the width of the shoe for the 11" drum 2" 2.5"

ask for b-body or c-body brakes 11x2.5 ect..

whats wrong with 11" brakes on the A-body?

I swaped my 68 dart to 73 manual disc with stock prop valve

used a 4 bolt to 2 bolt MP adapter, used the large diam 2 bolt alum mc,used the lagest wheel cyl for c-body 11"x2.5 drums on my 8 3/4 rear axle

even up it to the r-body 12" front disc and added the cooling tube to the splash sheild

never had a problem and it would stop very quik from high speeds

I have seen 11x 2" on a 72 4x4
and on a 96 ram 1500

take any that are 11x2 IMO

try a 73 newport its a c-body

try a 76 dodge charger se,seemed mine was 11x2 on that one also

or tell them to find any listing that has a 11x2 drum with 5 on 4.5 wbp

seems my 85 truck was 11x2 also
