Hi all, I recently bought this intake to use on a 'cuda street car. I was told it was an original A12 intake but after researching it a little, this does not have the slanted, or lazy "6" at the end of the part number. It also does not have the CH6B in the center of the drivers side. So, some say if the CH6B is missing it is original; and some say it must have the slanted "6" to be original. So what do you all think I have? It doesn't matter to me as I don't have an original A12 car, I'm just curious. I will be using it with an original factory set of 340 + 6 carbs on the 440.

I think that may be one of the second batch casting that Mopar had Edelbrock make in the 1980s for over the counter sells Ah, ok, so now I know, thanks.

A few years back I was looking at a manifold for my A12 road runner and I wasn't sure if it was a production line or over-the counter manifold (it had the standard 6, without the CH6B). Before purchasing I contacted Darrin (Big D A12) and he told me there were multiple runs of the Edelbrock intakes during the production of the A12 cars. Some had the wavey 6 (early production) and some had a standard 6 (later production), and both the wavey 6 and standard 6 are accepted as production line correct. Some more info here. Link

I’ve got an original a12 Bee with the original manifold. It does NOT have the funny 6. I’ve got two more that I bought many years ago with original dated carbs. They look the same. My car was built about the middle of production. I do have one intake with the funny 6. It to supposedly an earlier cast intake. All the carb holes look the same and are not real clean cut like later over the counter intakes either. I bet yours is real. Hi Mark, thanks for the reply. That's nice to know it is what the guy I bought it from says it is.
